Queer positive yoga is an all inclusive community class that is an energizing vinyasa flow with pranayama that takes time to guide you through the asana transitions and help you find the way the asana best fits your body.

A community yoga class held at Three Trees Yoga to help you connect more deeply with your breath, lean into advanced poses, and grow your practice.
Trauma-Sensitive Yoga is a gentle, choice-based practice designed to support safety, empowerment, and healing. Rather than focusing on performance or achieving a “perfect” pose, this approach emphasizes mindful movement, breath awareness, and self-agency. Participants are invited to notice what feels supportive in their bodies and choose what movements work best for them. The goal is not to fix or change, but to reconnect with the body in a safe and compassionate way.

Yoga unites the mind, body, and soul in a way that eases tension and promotes health. Regular practice improves breathing, increases endurance for other activities, and promotes mindfulness. Take a break from your day. Focus on yourself and find clarity.

For much of my life, I searched for a place where I could simply be my authentic self. Like many people, I often felt I didn’t quite belong. Then I found yoga.
Yoga became my sanctuary—a place where I could let go of expectations, reconnect with myself, and begin to heal from the inside out. More than 20 years later, I continue to believe that yoga is a practice of belonging, one that honors the many identities, lived experiences, and stories we each carry. My intention is to create a welcoming space where every person feels seen, supported, and free to show up exactly as they are. Because healing begins the moment we realize we already belong.

My practice is inspired by the belief that healing happens in connection—with ourselves, our breath, our bodies, and one another. I strive to create inclusive, trauma-sensitive spaces where every person feels welcomed, supported, and empowered to move in a way that honors their unique journey. Rooted in compassion, mindfulness, and authenticity, my hope is that each class offers an opportunity to cultivate resilience, self-acceptance, and a deeper sense of belonging.

Yoga is a practice of healing, transformation, and coming home to ourselves. For many trauma survivors and queer people, reconnecting with our bodies can be a powerful act of self-acceptance and belonging. What I love most about yoga—its fluidity, creativity, playfulness, mindfulness, and authenticity—is also what I love about being queer. Both invite us to live more fully, more courageously, and more deeply as our true selves.
